Rising Stars - Safety First Tackle Camp

Service Description

This is a great opportunity for young kids who are transitioning into tackle football. The camp is designed to hyper-focus on proper tackling techniques and introduce the concept of engaging at the point of contact in controlled drills. These camps will be organized with a coach: player ratio of 1:5. Participants rotate through stations to work on blocking techniques. Practice form, gator, and angle pursuit tackling at controlled speed on tackling pads. This is a two-day camp - Day One: Will focus on fundamentals and after practice players will be fitted and assigned helmets. Day Two: Will revisit the fundamentals learned from day one with helmets on. Players will practice at a controlled speed and work on engaging padded equipment which is designed to simulate gameplay scenarios. Helmets will be loaned out and shoulder pads are optional. There will be no player-to-player tackling.
